Son Of Abbey is an all original rock band from Chicago. SOA is made up of members of the Chicago music scene. Vocalist Karl Hafner of Lucid Ground branched out in 2015 to write and record an EP. He was looking for a band to fit and write with him. Chris Shen from A Birdsong Valentine, Polarizer, and Moon jumped on board to play bass. Shortly After drummer Chris Ellison from Visionaire joined on as drummer. With the band’s core in place the guys hit the studio to record their self titled debut at Rax Trax studio. While in the studio Tom Miller of Rocket Cathedral added organs and piano to round the sound out. 2016 will be the official release as well as North American Tour.

In 2018, Son of Abbey returns with a new look and new sound. The band has added guitarist Tom Sheehy from 72hours and a new drummer, Ben Blobaum, also from 72hours. With the new lineup in place, the band has been extremely hard at work and will be recording a new album the Spring of 2018.
